1986 Pill Pak for community care is introduced, originally under the "Compli-Pak" name. This product, a modification of our nursing home card for use in the community is well received. Developed with input from a specialist in aged care, the Pill Pak is a multidose blister card offering a full week's supply of medication to the elderly patient. Incorporating visual graphics along with legible printing means our Pill Pak card helps improve patient compliance to prescription regimens.

1985 Manrex Limited™ introduces the first of its kind, plastic reusable Pharmacard. These reusable "covers" can be opened to hold a blister and foil, thus eliminating the cardboard materials involved in the production of the prescription packaging which significantly reduces the pharmacists' consumable costs. This innovation is a result of Manrex Limited™ working closely with its customers to help reduce their costs as government funding became tighter, and capitation takes hold in the funding of long term care services.

1985 Manrex Limited™ introduces "Compucare", the first computerized medication charting system operates from a lap top computer mounted on the Pharmacart. The nurses chart directly into the Compucare system through the laptop, rather than charting on to the printed MAR form. The laptop computer then interacts with a PC, located at the nursing station, which also interfaces with other patient profile data.

1979 Manrex Limited™ enters the Australian long-term care market, the first company to introduce such an exciting concept of medication delivery to that country. Originally, the Dean of Pharmacy at the University of Manitoba, the late Dr. John Randolph Murray presents an overview of the Canadian long term care market and how the Manrex Limited™ system has significantly reduced medication errors in Canadian nursing homes and improved patient care by saving nurses time.

1973 Manrex Limited™ introduces the PCI Controlled Dosage System™ to Canada with a specific target market of long term care. Initially, Manrex Limited™ not only supplies the components of the PCI Controlled Dosage System™ to other retail pharmacies, but also services local nursing homes with an in-house pharmacist and dispensary. When it becomes obvious that the need for the system is so great, Manrex Limited™ removes itself from contracted nursing home service provision and focuses solely on the development and promotion of the PCI Controlled Dosage System™ to consultant pharmacists across the country.
